WHO I AM
Hi, All! I'm Amanda Weiler,
I began experiencing severe anxiety and depression early on in my pregnancy and through the first year of motherhood.
At 6 months postpartum I picked up a camera and began to work through the experiences that had shaped my journey.
Through the use of photography and storytelling, I was able to better understand what I was experiencing, how it shaped my life and the choices I had in moving forward.
I soon began photographing others and sharing their stories, too.
Each photoshoot brought with itself the opportunity to hold space for others as they shared intimate details of their experiences.
Photography and storytelling are extremely therapeutic outlets that I am passionate about sharing with anyone looking for an alternative way to work through major transitions and experiences.
I have 10 years of experience in the social services field and hold an Honours Bachelor of Social Work degree with a minor in Psychology.
I have loved every year of connecting with, and working along side, individuals and families to best serve their overall wellness.
Hope to hear from you soon
